Raised on Country music, Walker has been singing since before he could walk.
Walker’s love of music comes naturally; he is the son of multi-platinum selling country music star, John Michael Montgomery, and nephew of Eddie Montgomery, of Montgomery Gentry. Walker couldn’t wait to join his father on-stage, singing the songs that are as much a part of him as breathing.
Besides his admiration for his family, he considers Luke Bryan and Randy Travis his strongest influences. Walker wants to bring songs to life that reflect his background and appreciation for the rich history of country music while acknowledging the evolution of the genre over the years. He has incorporated all these ideals in his first single – Simple Town produced by long time family friend Colt Ford and Noah Gordon. Simple Town pays homage to getting back to where you can be yourself. A place where you can find comfort in what you have always known.
Born in Lexington, KY, Walker grew up playing football and basketball, and is an assistant coach for a middle school football and basketball team. Besides music and coaching, Walker is an outdoorsman – loving fishing and hunting. He is a dedicated University of Kentucky football fan and a UK student. In fact, he won a fan poll to play the pregame concert for the UK football team’s 2017 season opener, which was a huge thrill. The first big opportunity that impacted Walker personally and professionally was being asked to participate in 2016 Acoustic Jam sponsored by WBUL in Lexington to raise funds for UK Children’s Hospital.
